Imani's take

Escalators up to a steeply raked modern orchestra and a smaller mezzanine — 1,710 seats with good sightlines baked in. It was the first fully wheelchair-accessible Broadway house, and it shows.

Where to Sit at the Minskoff Theatre

Levels, bottom to top: Orchestra → Mezzanine. A large house. Boxes: no boxes — narrow side-wall protrusions instead.

One mezzanine over the orchestra

Two levels only, so the mezzanine is the whole upper house — its front rows are some of the best seats in the building for anything with choreography or a big set. The last rows of the orchestra sit under the overhang — fine for a play, a little boxed-in for a big musical.

Our rule of thumb

For a play, get close and center. For a spectacle, get high and center. Partial-view seats are discounted for a reason — check the seat map before you buy.

Accessibility

The Minskoff was the first fully wheelchair-accessible Broadway theater in New York City. Under a 2014 settlement with the U.S. Justice Department, the Nederlanders agreed to further improve disabled access at their Broadway houses, including this one, and added restroom stalls here in 2017. Broadway houses must offer wheelchair and companion seating, and assistive-listening devices are widely available; book accessible seats directly with the official seller or through Nederlander Organization.
